The Ask: Maximize a compact SF home with smart storage and custom built-ins, while creating a highly personal, curiosity-filled space that blends function with expressive design.

A cozy haven in the heart of San Francisco, this project challenged us to maximize a small footprint using custom built-ins and hidden storage, proving that great design thrives under constraint.

The entry immediately sets the tone: a stairwell adorned with hyper-realistic insects climbing the walls, hinting at the wonders within. On the main level, a custom "cabinet of curiosities" conceals a hidden pantry. Its facade is lined with glass doors and shallow shelves displaying the clients' prized fossils, taxidermied insects, minerals, and objets d'art. Functionality and passion, seamlessly fused.

Throughout the home, a through-line of purple and carefully curated wallpapers and stone selections tie the motif together, creating a space that is unmistakably, beautifully theirs.
